Open paint and then save as a jpg with a lower resolution or PPI
or Use Microsoft PhotoEditor.0 -
Oh yeah try this aswell http://www.resize2mail.com/?option=advanced
Also http://picasa.google.com/index.html and http://www.irfanview.com/
dont forget to make sure the file is a jpg file and not a BMP file
and that you want to keep the file size low or it will take an age
to download for dial up users.0 -
I use;
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloads/powertoys/xppowertoys.mspx
Resize with the right mouse button. The only place where success comes before work is the dictionary…

If you have Paint Shop Pro installed on your computer (as some branded PCs do) then open the photograph in Paint Shop Pro, click Image then Resize. Keep making the size smaller and smaller until it is less then 2MB. If you don't have Paint Shop Pro, use IrfanView as previously suggested:shopbot wrote:
Note: You can check the size of a picture file by right-clicking the file where it is saved on your hard drive, then clicking Properties.

PSP Is a little advanced for some users but very good, I mean thats what I use, Maybe PhotoEditor as its very very easy to use as long as Office is installed except for 2003 and above as they removed it (silly MS)
Irfanview as mentioned in post 3

I have PSP and Irfanview. PSP is technically more advanced but Irfanview is what I always use. It's so easy and a good thing to have anyway.
Intel - I was speed reading and did'nt see you had posted Irfanview !0 -

Thats OK boss I usually miss things when stuffing me face
P.S for Screen Shots and quick edits and crops Photo Editor is so quick.
Edit Also remember that 72 PPI is a good starting point for web graphics as it speeds up the load times.. 72 Pixels Per Inch resolution.
This is very esy in Photo Editor just open a
picture then choose file properties.0
