Have a look at this post Dodger:
Surrender Of Keys Agreement Form
This form is to be completed by all parties to a mortgage who propose to give us voluntary vacant possession who are surrendering the keys to a mortgaged property in accordance with a court order.
I hereby voluntarily consent to give you vacant possession of the above property.
I confirm that all keys have been provided and that the property is secure, vacant and unfurnished. Should there be any contents remaining, these will be disposed of by you.
If you suffer any loss following the sale of the property, I understand that debt collecting agents or solicitors will be instructed to pursue me and any guarantor/cash depositor to recover the loss. I am also aware that interest will continue to be charged on the outstanding mortgage debt until the property is sold.
I am aware that any life assurance policies that are assigned to you may, at your discretion, be surrendered, and the proceeds used to reduce the debt owing under the mortgage.
I understand that you subscribe to the Council of Mortgage Lenders’ Possession Register. In all cases where possession of the property is given to you, you submit details to this centralised register. I am aware that this may affect my ability to borrow money from other lenders in future years.

Might just be me but I probably wouldn't use that template as it seems to admit a lot of liability that may come back and bite you:hello:Save a little money each month and at the end of the year you’ll be surprised at how little you have.An eye for an eye only ends up making the whole world blind0

Waspeze is correct IF your already BR, it would be accepting liabilaty after your BR Date, dont know if it would actually stand up in court, i havnt seen it tested yet, but i wouldnt risk it:rolleyes:Have a look at this post Dodger:

dear lender
please find enclosed my keys to the property known as "hacienda-that" which i purchased using your "variable" mortgage.
at the time i didnt know "variable" actually meant "only variable upwards"
we have now decided that handing you the keys back and walking away could save our physical and mental health, our marriage and also let the kids have new clothes
i have been sourcing our lads stuff from the local army and navy stores

Maxmycardigan.....That is outstanding :T
Just wish I had the balls to send it with our keys when we get round to posting them
I nearly p****d myself reading that :rotfl:0 -
Hi Dodger,
Am in the same situation, and am going to send mine by speical delivery tomorrow or Sat. I am intending to draft my own letter, as they haven't sent me the forms they wanted me to sign. Am going to put my head round it later on today or tomorrow and will post here, as would welcome your comments/amendments.
Perhaps a combined effort from us both will cover it without comebacks.
Will be in touch - got the electric to sort out first, plus MBNA who are pursuing me with empty threats, and the management agents, then will get down to it, unless totally exhausted by above!
