Hi I have a AMC7804WRBA router,the trouble is the connection goes down after about 12 hours sometimes earlier. I have it connected to my PC by an ethernet cable and wireless to my laptop,however I only use the laptop on the odd occassion. Anyone any ideas on how to fix this or all routers do the same.

My first recommendation would be to upgrade the firmware, and second would be to check the Lease Expirations and Obtain dates, and make sure its' greater than 12 hours... you can even set it to 8 days if you want...0

It might not be the router it might be you ISP, so you should check what they are up to as well.Torgwen..........

I also have and SMC ADSL modem/router. I think mines a 7404WRBA or something like that.
I've always had problems with it. It intermittently drops the connection and I have to pull the power and then switch it back on. I upgraded the firmware to the latest but that didn't help.
I've just come to accept that the router isn't very good, if/when I buy again it won't be SMC.0
