We bought a new (used) car two weeks ago and I still have not got my hands on it!!!
Original car broke down so decided to get it fixed and trade it in.
Agreed deal and arranged for garage to check what needed to be done.
Mechanic said that there was nothing wrong with car (breakdown recovery mechanic said not to drive it). Will not drive it until it's time to trade in and swap.
Insurance changed but wrong documents received. New car reg showing instead of personalised plate. Did it again.
Car loan application approved and signed documents returned for fast turnaround of funds (AA loan)
Documents not received a week later!
Cancelled that one and took out another more expensive one with my own bank. Immediate access to funds. Good.
Today. Insurance documents wrong again. Now showing new car on both plates with two different regs. Personalised plates showing on temporary certificate.
We have been without a driveable car all this time.
Will the garage be able to buy a car license and transfer the personalised reg on a temporary certificate??
I am very fed up.

Phone up insurance and get them to amend the details and then you're insured (check with them). That's what I did when I wanted to change my details. Temporary cover note arrived a few days later.Happy chappy0
