Sending files via web help.

I am trying to send a big ish file that will not go through my email account as there is not enough memory,

I have thought of sending using yousendit.com but due to the size of the file it will charge me and I have to sign up (for junk mail) I know there are a few free sites but some are really slow.

Any ideas on best sites to go to, to try and send this? Or is there another way I have tried to compress and send but unless I am doing it wrong it is not really reducing its size.

Sorry forgot to mention the file is 502MB

You didn't say how big it is... anyway, take a look at www.sendthisfile.com as it claims no file size limit for free. Prepare to be patient with the throttling that will occur on huge files though. And you biggest obstacle will be the upload speed limit from any domestic Internet Service Provider that you use, eg no better than 512 kbps.

Cheers for that, all done and just waiting for it to send now.
Although It seems to be moving at only 99 - 178 kbps, does this mean if i carry on with this it could take till the morning to send?

Yes. Upload speeds are typically around 448kbps tops on 8MB ADSL in the UK.
