i have put the max (joint) in each in these accounts am i right in thinking that is ok with the bust fund as they are not part of the same group even though the gov helps both..

Unless you are planning to sell up and not live anywhere, I can;t see the advantage.
If you are planning to upsize the new house will cost more.
If you are planning to downsize your new house will cost more than it should
If you are trying to buy your first house its almost impossible.

B&B is nothing to do with the goverment it comes under Abbey's FSCS protection I believe, only the mortgage part of B&B went to the goverment where as the savings were transferred to Abbey0
