TBH I don't think your award sounds wrong. It seems to be similar to our award last year when we were on low wage but recieving wtc. The system is wierd-I had a pretty well paid job in the health service and minimum ctc, then took a much lower paid job but my incoe was pretty similar once CTC &WTC were added!
I have been told we were overpaid by £95 last year and am having to repay it but every other year so far they have asked for over £3,000 back-still arguing over our award 2005/06 and I think the only reason they are not persuing relentlessly at the moment is because my only income is IS & CTC!
Tomorrow is always fresh, with no mistakes in it!

Well I got the paperwork today and it seems they have added a disability element:confused:
As this isn't something that applies to me, I rang them and pointed it out. They've said they don't know how it happened and will re-do my claim.... so I'll wait & see what happens next. Hopefully they will take that off and amend it correctly, but reading about other peoples experience, I'm not confident that the final award will be correct and next year I'll be hit with this over payment malarky .... when all along I've given the right information from the word go  Will keep you posted. Thanks again for the replies.

Thank goodness you discovered their mistake early! Hopefully they will get it right this time but do check your new award carefully! Disability element can add quite a lot to the award so would have made quite a difference.
