Can I connect to the internet with this?

Hi, looking to buy a mini laptop for son, will this connect to the internet? I have broadband, router etc at home. Also, does it make any difference not having windows. Thankyou. http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?ModuleNo=225532&source=1

Yes you should - the specs states Wi Fi and 10/100Mbps Ethernet port.
The fact you are running Linus should not matter a jot.0 -

Cheap but the Linux on it is hard-wired, it looks like you cannot upgrade the software ever... might be worth spending an extra £100 for something more future-proof and a 10" screen.

As stated above, yes it will work, but you might be better spending just a little more and looking at the eee pc range. We have some here at work and they perfect for the market they are aimed at, and they aren't dog slow.
