Looking to go next April.
Yes I have posted in dedicated Holiday web Forums, But thought I might get some help from anyone on these web pages.
What was it like, where should I go , how much should I wear
Any help !

Hi. Just booked a room in The Northern Light Inn near the capital of Iceland. just Google the name above and search and their website will appear. loads of info on this site, seems like a good hotel with free transfers both to/from the airport and to the Blue Lagoon near by. Can book tours from this hotel and catch a bus to the capital. I Believe. Price not bad for iceland as a room and breakfast for 2 about £82 a night, look for cheapish flights on the web and you've got a nice break in Iceland for a reasonable price. remember though Iceland isn't cheap. good hunting.0

If you are flexible with your dates then this seems a good deal.

We went a couple of years back on a package with Icelandair, stayed here:

Very good hotel, reasonably priced restaurant attached. 10 mins walk to middle of town. No car park but plenty of street parking around.
Would suggest you get a hire car, not cheap but gives you total flexibility. If you do get a car, go and buy a GOOD (OS type) road map, the roads in Iceland vary enormously in quality, the car hire company maps are useless. If you end up getting stuck off the beaten track you will have major problems.
Don't forget your camera !0
