Should I leave negative feedback

Appreciate some advice Dudes.

Recently sold an item (trivial amount - for £1) - no contact from buyer for 2 weeks dispite several friendly e-mails.

Sent a 'final' firm reminder - he replied "cheque in post".

Another week - no cheque - e-mail the fella - "cheque in post".

5 days later no cheque - opened an Unpaid Dispute on the item.

The guy then send me £1 via PayPal - tells me to bin the item - obviously he doesn't give me any P&P!!

I send the £1 straight back & make it clear that he is not a valued customer.....

I can close the dispute now - question is what feedback do I leave him?

If I give him a negative - he's sure to do the same for me - which I don't really want.

But for the wider eBay community I do feel a need to warn others that this Dude doesn't complete sales and is a waste of time.....

What should I do? Any choice form of words for a negative comment?

Cheers

Duder

  • Check his feedback rating - if he has less than 10 there is a new rule (see Ebay) which says he can't leave negative withouth going through a tutorial.

I probably wouldn't leave negative fro £1, it's not worth the retaliatory neg you might get back. At least he paid for the item eventually, I'd mark it down to experience and leave it at that.

Whilst I'd normally say neg him, I wonder if it's worth it in this case as you haven't actually lost anything. If he hasn't paid the p&p can't you still do him as an NPB - in the long run this may still do him some damage.

Just put it down to experience and leave it at that. If he leaves you a neg leave him one in return but if not just leave it.

wots the issue with the postage? he didn't ask you to post it? Personally i'd have taken the £1 (which is what the item made at auction?) and put it down to experience.
