Have been told I need £350 to file for bankrutpcy, with debts of £26,000 to credit card companies. but not where to get the £350 from. I am living on £146 a week and am completely self funding, paying rent, Council Tax etc. No spare cash and have taken advice from Leicester Money Advice who seem to be at a loss re this funding.
And from December my income goes down to zero, when my SSP and private sick pay finishes, so I don't know how I will be able to manage, even if I get back to work I am only fit for part time (been off work with kidney inflammation since May) so will not be eligible for JSA.
Am trying not to worry about it, but it is rather concerning.

there are a FEW charities who you can approach but most BR's are self-funding too...
if you are on benefits its £350 (ish) if not then its £510 (ish)
stop paying all bills now and save the pennies...
have you been getting rent/rate help and working tax credits? Now we all know how it felt to play in the band on the Titanic...0 -
Not sure if any of the places in this link can help?
Might be worth a try?
