Internet keeps crashing

Hey all
My internet keeps crashing on my laptop, it'll work for anywhere between 5 minutes and 2 hours and then just die. I get a screen telling me I'm not connected but it'll work again when I restart the computer. I know it's not the internet connection because my boyfriend's laptop always works fine with the internet so it must be something to do with the laptop. I've run a virus scan but that didn't show anything.
Anybody got any ideas?

Probably a poor wireless connection device inside the laptop. You would probably find it better using a wireless USB dongle (certainly thats what fixed my mates laptop anyways):idea:0

Or a PCMCIA card - better than USB sticks in my opinion )0
