Just be careful and check your receipt. I went into the Warrington Tesco last night for this book and when I was checking my receipt on the way out and I had been charged for the book. Went along to Customer Services and they checked and it hadn't been programmed properly so that I received the book for free. They said that there was no bar code on the book - which obviously there was. Although it says any of the chocolate bars on the stand where the book is, I don't think it is all bars. In very tiny print on the side of the book stand it says which bars are in the offer.

I noticed my books hadn't been scanned at all.......maybe this is why I was told in one store it had been taken off early? Perhaps it isn't scanning and some stores are removing it from sale and some are just not scanning it?

Either way check all receipts!

You should have been paid to take the book away! You would have had the book for free anyway (as part of the deal) - Tesco should have given you double the difference back (£14.99 in this case). The sign behind the cs desk would have confirmed this.

I had a good look around the Sandhurst one today...and i mean a GOOD look. But couldnt find it so i asked a floor manager and she said she never heard of that offer. I was surprised since its quite a big store.

Does anyone know if this offer is on in the big tesco in Slough?

My local Tesco in South Wales keep restocking their display with more G&B books. The display was full when I popped in today. The only choccy bars they had out with the offer were milk, butterscotch and dark 60%.

The book has alot of savoury dish recipies that use chocolate as part of the recipe. Its a good book, but I've seen better chocolate/dessert cookbooks.

If your after a fantastic chocolate recipe book I'd wholly recommend the Divine cookbook. Its a hardback book, looks stunning (the gold print on the front is metallic), is filled with interesting and useful info on cooking and using chocolate and has delicious recipies.

The cheapest I've found it for is £12.99 at amazon.co.uk - a testament to the quality of the book itself.

I was actually wondering if they had it in the big Tescos at Brent Cross - anyone know? Haven't seen it in the small tescos stores & it's not online either, right?

Yep.. I agree.. i have tried the ones around harrow and greenford and even a huge one in yeading.. not tried the Watford one though or Brent cross..
