Chest Freezer

My very old chest freezer is using huge amounts of electricity 2 unit over night. I will have to buy a new one A grade for efficiency any advice about the cheapest and the best. Hope somebody can help

    Does it have to be a chest freezer

    We got the large up right freezer early this year seems cheap to run and is frost free

    Thank you I thought a chest freezer was easier to put dishes of food prepared earlier but I will keep looking

    Chest freezers are usually quite efficient as the cold air cannot "fall out" of them. Bosch do an A+ rated one for about £300. Sugest you use price comparison sites such as Kelkoo to find something suitable in size and price.

    Beware, new white good appliances are not made as well as older ones, mine is over 20 years old, I am not going to change mine.

    I think a up right is easier to get in and out of just open the door and the draws. The one I got is very efficient it hardly comes on tbh I leave it in garage
