Countrybookshop fails to deliver

Before buying from Countrybookshop please take note of my experience. I ordered four books in November. Two arrived (separately). They claimed one had been despatched but (as of now) it has never arrived. One would take 3-7 days to come into stock but has still not appeared a month later.

I have sent enquires via their 'message' system, e-mailed and telephoned. There are a number of options when you call but every one takes you to a voicemail, every time. No-one gets back to you.

I wish I had done a search on reviews before I ordered as I'm not the only one who has had this problem:

I've experienced bad customer service before but Countrybookshop seems to have raised total indifference to their customers to an artform.

I thought they'd gone bump? I know the store near me closed down a while back. Or are they internet only now?

We had one near us that changed to a different company after going bust, but it was 'County Bookshops'.

No idea about shops but still alive and kicking online - https://www.countrybookshop.co.uk - and coming up on all the price comparison sites. Site suggests one shop near Bakewell.

Their response to customers had suggested to me a company in trouble which was another good reason to warn other potential customer, hence the post.
