Hi,
If you leave housing benefit whilst still owing the council money that you have been overpaid, will the require the money all at once? I currently pay it back at a rate of £56.60 per month.

I suggest that you make them a weekly/monthly offer and include your weelky/monthly budget in your offer letter. I would think that you would need to explain if your offer is less than £56.60pm.0

I would be happy to carry on paying the same amount, I'm just scared they'll demand it all in one go, as I couldn't afford to pay it.2022 wins: PS5 bundle, SSD drive, luxury truffles

No they won't do. One of my brothers used to work in recovery. They would rather you make payments you can afford to keep up to than try and claim an unrealistic amount you can't which ends up in court that costs them just to end up you being awarded payments lower than they were getting.0
