Firefox 1.5 toolbars, are they larger than before or is it my imagination

It depends on the theme you have installed
I don't think the default theme has changed at all
From Customize, you can choose to use small icons
Here's my toolbars (pinball theme)

My old, out dated theme, made everything appear larger and out of place.
If you have a theme in place, update it.. That should make everything appear, 'just right'
