Dont know about you but I love my Sky+ but hate the fact that they charge me an extra 10 quid every month for the privilege of having it even now i am out of contract with them. I was on a 36 quid movies deal and have never watched a free movie. I tried to get ont heir basic 15 quid package but they told me the min I could pay was 25 because I was on sky+. i tol;d them i was going to put my old box back on...disconnected the phone line which you are allowed to do if you are out of contract with them. They told me the Sky + would switch off but it hasn't! It will obnly work for customers out of contract because otherwise you must have the phone line connected. Good luck peeps! :xmassign:

I'm moving this over to "In my home"

Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: I’ve asked Board Guides to move threads if they’ll receive a better response elsewhere(please see this rule) so this post/thread has been moved to another board, where it should get more replies. If you have any questions about this policy please email !!!!!!.0 -
I have just had sky + fitted this morning, for some reason the bloke put the wire through the middle of the wall rather than in a corner or lower down then tacking it to the skirting.
He also walked brick dust into my new rug then on his way out dropped his staple gun & took a chunk out of the floor we had done a month ago!
My new living room ruined & not even by the kids!If you're going to stalk me, while you're at it can you cut the grass, feed the dog & make sure I've got bread & milk in

So,do all the features still work,rec/pause etc ?
I emailed Sky last year,to ask if they were going to do a lifetime subcription instead of paying £10 per month, they said they had no plans to do so,which is a shame, because if you have a Tivo, you can pay a one off fee of £199 for the lifetime subscription (from Sky !!!!).
Anyway,in January,i was going to ring Sky up,and change to a Freesat card AND pay the £10 per month for the Sky+ features, but perhaps i will try and see if it works if a cancel.Sponsored by Tesco Clubcard Points !!0
