Npower Sign online 14

I do not think I have read this wrong but it looks as if Npower (spit) have introduced their latest SoL tariff with a change of tactic. This tariff now only has a standing charge option, and for readers of the "gas sculpting " thread this could be significant.
They have also introduced a Web 14 tariff with a huge (£160 ish) annual standing charge but with lower tariff prices.
The standard tariff does have a no standing charge option but to have an online tariff a standing charge is the onlly way to go.
Now off to work out a few prices.

nPower are notorious for chopping and changing their standing charges (or two tier effective standing charges). That was why they used to be so cheap for users with high consumption - they used to charge £14 per month in standing charges but then charge 6p per unit of electricity when most other companies charged £4 per month standing charge and 9 or 10p per unit. They altered this recently - but have overshot which resulted in high consumers doubling their bills.

There are three flavours of sculpting, two of them are valid. It is only their peculiar definition of twelve months that is corrupt. The other two are complicating, but not wrong.
