Do we get written confirmation that we've left our savings until the original maturity date?

That is a good question - I would appreciate any insights. Does anyone know whether there will be any confirmation of processing and payment procedure once the form has been completed?

As my 3yr Fixed Rate deal is now with FSCS, due to be repaid November 2010, I asked them about declaring interest to the taxman. They said that as they're not a bank to talk to HMRC. A HMRC "technician" in Manchester said not to declare anything until the 3 years is up. Wasn't the answer that I expected so I took his name. Does someone else want to check this out as in my case I think that's good news?

I'll declare the interest when I get access to it.
That "payment" in until October was a proforma only, and only those who chose to get the money immediately received it.
Those that chose to keep it until maturity will only get it on maturity, hence it being the date for the declaration.
