Hi,
When selling, I know in order to be protected, i must send the item to their paypal registered address. (i've been paid vis paypal)
However, will i still be protected if the item i'm shipping was to be picked up, by courier, not from my home (which is my registered add with payapl) but from my work address and then delivered onto the buyers address? Will this be ok?

I'm sure it will be protected because it is only the buyer's address that counts.0

Thanks for your reply OL.
Does everyone agree i will be ok by sending from a diff address?
just about to book the delivery so if you know different, speak now or forever hold your post:)0 -
i dont think where you ship it from is that relevant - after all if you take it to a post office its not your home addy. make sure its trackable and they have to sign for it.0

if it's a high value item, and a low feedback user, be worried
if its a new user with a non verified address, be worriedmoney saving my @rse.
I've spent 10x as much as I would if I had never discovered this website :-)

..unfortunately not strictly true. if a chargeback is done for whatever reason, paypal will deduct the amount from your paypal account most likely putting you into a negative balance. if they have a link to a current account of yours, for example for bank transfers or payment of fees they will take the amount from your current account. if they cannot get it from your bank account or you dont have a current account linked they will assign the debt to a debt collection agency who will pursue you for it.
and dont think your safe even several weeks down the line - the above happened to me 6 weeks after i sold an item - they took the money direct from my bank account as the payment from the guys current account to fund the transaction had failed as he had no money. they didnt pursue him for it, they just reversed the transaction. I kissed goodbye to £429.
so if a chargeback is done for any reason its still your problem.
for high paying items like laptops or computers i insist on bank transfers, or a deposit straight into my account.0
