Wednesday 5/11/08. What small dfw things will you do today????

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free.
Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.
Busy day again for me today, so wont really get time to do anything dfw.
Today I will:
-Go to work to earn some pennies
-Go straight to counselling course afterwards and will be there till late at night
-Come home and sort out mystery shops for tomorrow
-Phone client from yesterday to check up on her, all part of building up the business
-Continue to work on counselling presentation
Have a great day everyone and catch up with you all later.

Good morning all,
It's wet and soggy in East Yorks AGAIN, bang goes my washing drying on the line.
However I shall still be:
Checking my online banking.
Going to work for 6.5 hrs.
Eating from the store cupboards.
Having a free tea at work.
Listing 3 items on Ebay.
Taking my doggy to the vets, (he is having an operation
) and then picking him up later on and spoiling him rotten.
"IF" the weather dries up, I will walk to work - takes an hour so it saves on petrol and is free exercise.
Haven't bought any fireworks this year so have saved a fortune there.
And that's all
Have a fabulous Guy Fawkes Day y'all

Good Morning.
Today I will:
1) Eat my homemade bread for breakie at work.
2) Brought homemade lunch in (pasta with Haloumi!
)
3) Check if my Quidco has been paid into my account yet.
4) Try and have a low spend day. I need to go to the Chemist for some meds - no buying those 3 for a £1 giant Quality Streets! My weakness is Triangles....:o
5) Make my lunch for tomorrow's work day.
6) NOT USE MY CREDIT CARD.0 -
Morning all
Today I have/will
- Make 2 pre-mystery shop phone calls
- prepare for other mystery shops
- finish xmas cards
- make mince pies (didnt do that yesterday)
- watch another xmas film (I love xmas!!)
- go to work tonight even though I really dont want to. Hate the job now. Trying to do my sums to see how long it would take me to pay off debts if I gave it up. Think it would add another 6 months. Going to try to stick it out til xmas but it's making me miserable.
Have a good day all

Morning all
Grey and still a bit dark here! Feels more like winter every day...
Well today is a bit of a dull DFW day for me, no parcels to post, no Amazon sales to report (yet!).
Today I shall/have
• Checked online banking/CC account/Amazon
• Check Quidco/Survey sites
• Brought breakfast & lunch to work
• Wash on economy setting tonight
• Keep on nagging hubby to turn off lights/TV etc when not using them!
(He's slowly getting the message!)
• Store cupboard tea tonight
• Try and bite my tongue all day at work so I don't get sacked!!! (only kidding)
• Update my DFW diary to keep me sane and distracted from previously mentioned workplace....
That'll do for me, can't think of anything else... have a good day all xx0 -

Many thanks andan for setting up the thread, did you set your alarm clock?
Quite fed up today, I've messed up the month's finances good and proper. Somehow I missed the fact it was a five week month and have only budgeted for four! I also paid off the car repairs and saddle off my credit card with what I thought was extra cash. I knew it would leave me short....
Ah well, I suppose I'll work something out, I think it will mean an almost 100% nsd November.
On another note, my ex OH has turned up, would like to start dating me after 10 years on and mainly off absence! Our relationship has always read like an Eastenders plot, now I don't know what to do.
On the DFW front (list is scrawny)- come to work, need the money
- bought in breakfast and lunch
- check bank - panic
- glare at spreadsheet
- find a matched bet - andan should I do this now for the weekend matches or wait? Please could you advise me

Stuck at airport - lol
today thus far
Been bound in by fog - woo hoo you can tell I dont want to go can't you
Checked bank, where is the money that I transferred on monday????
Fridge and freezer full of food for my being away (if my brother wants to feed my kids pizzas then he can pay!!)
Um what else - reduced price swanky conditioner in the shower
Thats it thus far folks, the longer I am fog bound the longer my list will be!!!
Bought a jacket on Ebay last night - part of my special cut down the wine fund - kinda moneysaving in so far as I would have spent it on wine, but now I am saving it for special treats - like flowery boots I got last week (a bargain) and a jacket last night - also a bargain! Not so much moneysaving as moneymoving and good motivation in the short term.
waving through the foggy airport hazieness - have a great day xTotal debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.
