you get one of these cards from cinema exhibitors association. Its called a CEA CARD please visit www.ceacard.co.uk. I remember sending a few pounds off to them in a postal order, the website will tell you all the venues that do the scheme. Good luck.0

forgot to say that you put the companions details on a form you get from your local town hall when the claimant applies or receives a bus pass. Hope this helps you.0

We only found out at the weekend about the companions bus pass.
I don't remember seeing anything about it the paper work when my husband got his bus pass a year and a half ago.
I am not sure if all councils do them but it is always worth ringing them up and seeing if they do it.
Forgot to add that in our area to get companions bus pass they need to be getting higher rate mobility.

HE DEFINATELY DIDNT GET THAT COS ITS ME THAT FILLS HIS FORMS0 -
My son has one. We get the form from the local council office after being sent a letter from the relevant Social Work department to confirm he is regstered as disabled and is eligible for the scheme.
It's called a 'Plus One' card here. The carer goes free on buses and gets into cinemas and certain other venues free. The logic being that the person wouldn't be able to go without a carer so this is to enable people to try to live fuller lives.
Here's a link to the Highland one just so you can see what it's about and what you need to do. Get in touch with your own council for more info from them.

Not sure what you mean? It's called a Plus One. Or are you asking if it's called something else in other areas?
If so, I dont know, sorry. Just phone your council and ask, they will know what you are talking about if they have the same scheme in your area.Herman - MP for all!0 -
I got my C+1 card in Scotland after the person with the form realised that i was on middle care so needed supervised during the day. I think for the bus pass you need middle or higher care to get the carer added to it.
For the train a disabled railcard will get the disabled person and their companion 1/3 off their tickets.0 -
