I have been looking at getting a power shower or Pressure pump installed, as the shower I have is barely more than a trickle.
I unfortunatly can not afford at the moment to get the above options done and I was looking for alternatives when I came accross this website
http://www.takeashower.com/heads.php?id=spa, It was being recommended on an American website similar to this and people were raving about how good these shower heads are.
Does anyone know/think they would work??, Am I right in thinking I wouldn't need a pump etc if I was to buy one??
I have alo tried looking to see if there is anywhere in the UK I can buy one to save me trying to get one from the US, but cant seem to find anything - does anyone know if there is this product out there??
Any Help would be really appreciated.
Thanks

Can you just give more info on what type of system you have. there could be ways to help get more water flow without much cost. The measure of love is love without measure0

This is going to be a really basic discription of what is currenlty there etc - sorry.
We have a bath that has a hose/showerhead attached(to turn the shower on you run the taps then pull up a lever), we were looking into getting a power shower installed, but with installation etc it was a bit more than we could afford.
Having then discovered our tank in the loft is leaking (must be the tank as the frame it sits on is soaked and nothing seems to be dripping etc from the pipes), we thought about replacing this tank with one that has some sort of built in pump - so it pressurizes the water in the whole house??
Is this right?, considering our leaking tank would this be the better option?
Im really confused as to what would be the best option and unfortunatly price is a big factor in this.
Any help/advice would be really appreciated.0 -
Hmm, I think you need to read up on this or take advice, that is not exactly how it works.
Meantime, have you checked that the shower head and hose are clear of debris or limescale? Hose not kinked? Do you have good flow from the bath taps?0 -
The water is definitly more powerful when running out of the taps.0

Good afternoon: Excellent, free advice is available on the Bathroom Academy website in the form of industry guide books.

That's an excellent site!
Michelle, read the one on domestic water systems.
You would expect the flow from the taps to be better since to come from the shower head the water has to "climb back up again".
Is it better from the shower head if you hold it at the same level as the taps? If not, you may have something blocking the hose or head.
If you have a reasonable flow from the hose end you could try a head with fewer and smaller holes. We had a similar problem with lack of "skoosh" in our caravan shower. It was fitted with a domestic head with lots of big holes, now we have a smaller head (fewer holes) with smaller holes the difference is amazing!0 -
Great site, ty0
