Asking prices v sold prices

Inspired by a thread in the normal housing section I have a question for property owners.

What price was you property/properties marketed at and what did you pay?

Stating the year and rough geographical area would be useful :)

Nationally Sale price = approximately 90% of asking price. According to 'official' figures a month or so ago.

Yes, on the inspirational thread (now added to OP) I felt the asking price versus the expected price, while possibly realistic in the area  was optimistic. :)
