Hi Nicki!
If you look at the first post of the body shop thread you should find someone in your region. Send them a pm and im sure they will be happy to send you more information.
Of course you are more than welcome to post on the thread as well ha ha didnt mean to imply you couldnt!

Hi Nicki
I'm a The Body Shop at Home (TBSAH) consultant and I love it. The customers love the ethical approach and having stores is really useful, It means that people are aware of the products and will reccommend to friends at parties. I've also used the store because you can go instore and persaude customers to book parties with you if your line-up isn't looking how you want it to.
All the targets are incentive based. You only HAVE to sell £150 every 3 months to stay registered but there are regular promotions so that if you do well you win financial bonuses as well as free products. That means that it's entirely up to you how much you do, you can do as much or as little as you want.
I second what Monica said, have a look at the first post of the body shop thread and PM whoever is closest to you if you're interested.0 -
Also with TBSAH we have exclusives that the store doesn't and if you have a party you get free products and half price products, the store don't give you that, thats why people book with you.
yes virgin Vie things are nice but a hell of a lot dearer than BS stuff and BS have ethical values and all their products are community trade and contain community trade ingredients helping out poorer countries. Virgin vie don't have this!0 -
I think BS wins hands down and offer more to both client and seller than VV.0

As a Virgin (consultant), I must point out that none of our products or ingredients are tested on animals.
As for choosing which brand to go with, ultimately I think the important issue is rather that being a consultant works in much the same way regardless of what you are selling. Effort, persistance and commitment is needed to find customers.0 -
Hi I am an area manager with The Body Shop @ Home, I love my job not just for the great money I earn for only a little of my time but the support and training that is provided. I joined BS because I truly belive in the ethical issues which we stand for and as for the post about there being a shop in every town that may be the case but, unlike the stores we offer exclusive products, savings on store prices and a great host package that NO other party plan can or will offer!! The choice ultimately is yours and all of these lovely ladies have an opinion but that is all they are and you should not feel pressured by anyone. If you would like to now more from the inside please do feel free to pm me and I can email you and information sheet. xx Take care0

I did BS a few years ago and whilst I loved it, I struggled to get parties and had little or no real support. My manager changed frequently and always lived miles and miles away making petrol costs (even then) a huge problem.
My point being that your experience will only be as good as the team in your area. If you are still undecided, I would talk to both companies and see if you can find out where what and how much support is offered. There will always be people who seem to make huge amounts from very little work and you may be one of the lucky ones. I'd jump at the role again if I thought I could make enough to make it worth my while but for me, in this area, it didn't work.7 Angel Bears for LovingHands Autumn Challenge. 10 KYSTGYSES. 3 and 3/4 (ran out of wool) small blanket/large square, 2 premie blankets, 2 Angel Claire Bodywarmers0 -
can't you do both and see which works out best?0

Hi - I have been a Virgin Vie consultant and I ws having to spend money constantly updating the products I had which ended up costing me a fortune. I think people have a bet view of Body Shop products as it seems a more realistic price bracket.0
