Hi, take your waste hose from underneath sink or stand pipe and lay it on the floor and empty water into washing up bowl or outside if long enough.
That should clear the water, but you probaby have something caught in the pump, which you need to take apart to find it.
if you take all the filter out there should be 2 screws, undo them and he thinks the pump is under there

Thanks a lot TMM!
Indeed we found a manual online and indeed something had sneaked down - a tiny shard of plastic from the DW cleaner hangy thing I put in last week, after unsrewing the unit underneath the filters, we found the little blighter
Thanks so much I hope this helps someone else who finds themselves in this situ x:beer: Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.

Can you please tell me where you managed to find a service manual online. I can only find a user manual.

you wont need a manual to be able to unblock pump ..it will be self evident on how its held together when you take the back off the machine ..
if the back does not come off ..you can turn the washing machine upside down ..after emptying it as described above.
or take drain pipe out of the stand pipe ..add hose pipe to it to extend it ..and lead outside the door..along the floor ..and gravity will let the water out
some washers split in half these days ..but the pump and motor can be got at from underneath.
check the filter out first .

Is the inside full of water?
Is the tray underneath full of water?
Both have antiflood float switches. They turn the machine off if too much water gets in either. Bale the first / sponge the second out and see what happens. Does it restart when the door is closed?
