New house - what enery suppliers? new homeowner, need to save!!
Just moved into a 2 bed flat, 2 occupants, approx 7 radiators. I'm feeling the pinch at the moment and need to save cash, so all help appreciated.
Currently got
Gas
British Gas - with estimated monthly direct debit £55 a month, online bills.
Electricity
Eon - standard tariff - direct debit, estimates £24 a month.
The previous owners didn't live there for ages so I can't get an idea what they spent.
Any good deals etc much appreciated.
Thank you so much.

You should switch to non-standard tariffs straight away. You are overpaying at the moment. Just throw average numbers in the calculators and choose. (22,000 and 3,300)0

bit lost as to which non-standard ones?
With B.Gas I've got direct debit discout, and online bills discount.Young homeowner...with a large mortgage0 -
Is it Click 6 or standard? Click 6 with discounts is cheaper than British Gas standard tariff with discounts. Look up the Click 6 prices and compare with the prices on your bill.
Note that British Gas is not usually very cheap for gas (legacy of being a national company and not allowed to compete aggressively) but are often (one of the) cheapest for electricity.0 -
Thinking about changing to Ebico for both?
As many of the providers you don't get the discounts if you change within 12 months - if prices hike I don't want to eb stuck with someone just so i can get the discount at the end of the year.
or is my logic wrong?Young homeowner...with a large mortgage0
