I suppose the warranty helps, but that's one of the earliest Xbox models; 20GB HDD and no HDMI. Chances are it's already been repaired by MS for RROD.
If the pictures right, you'll only get a composite cable and wired controller. These early Xboxs did come with a component cable and wireless controller when bought new.
Well if you know of any places which sell an xbox 360 for that price with a 12 month warranty let me know I will be quite happy to return this. I will only be using this for the next 6 months until I move to university where I will not have a TV. so I will put it on ebay at the end of the 6 months. It's a cheap way of renting a console you don't plan on keeping :j0 -
If you're not planning on keeping it, then that's fair enough. You didn't state that in your original post.
You should get at least half back through Ebay when you sell it on. Try and get yourself a component cable if it only comes with a composite, the picture is poor on the composite.Dave. :wave:0 -
It's an original "Arcade" model, with the Hard Drive added on.
I got the Arcade with HDMI port when it was first released in 2007 and by summer 2009 I had red ring of death.
I would imagine, based on age, this is a refurb or has at least been fixed by Microsoft.
At 69.99 it's cheap, but it's also likely to die again pretty soon and would be outside MS warranty.0 -
Anyone spotted any good deals on a nintendo dsi? For my little nephew's birthday, so black or blue colour would be cool. Thanks in advance!0

My bad! Yes I should hopefully, I will also sign up to a game renting service to make further savings, if you would be so kind and tell me what is a component cable?? :beer:0 -

Hi there it looks like you didn't see that I mentioned 12 month warranty, the 12 month warranty states that the company will replace the console if it breaks, nothing to do with Microsoft, so from the looks of things I should be getting lots of replacement consoles from gameplay :rotfl:0 -

It does state in the description that it has no HDMI connectivityCapricornus wrote: »..if you would be so kind and tell me what is a component cable??
A component cable has six leads and breaks out the video into red, green and blue. You then have the white and red audio leads and yellow composite lead. You don't need to use the yellow lead if you can plug in the red, blue and green.
In the end it'll depend on what connectors are on the back of your TV. If there's no component input, then the composite cable will suffice. If you've got a really old TV, it may not even have that, so you'd have to buy a SCART adapter to plug the composite lead in to.Dave. :wave:0 -

My TV should be fine then as it's a TV with a big flat screen.
I will see what comes tomorrow and if there is no component cable I will order one off ebay. I just checked and they are around £5. Thanks for enlightening me, I haven't used a TV for about 3 years. :j0 -
Hi
I just want to confirm that the xbox 360 came today and it's in very good condition, there was also a component cable, a wireless controller, the mains plug and an ethernet cable. All packaged very neatly, can't go wrong with this free 1 day postage, 12 month warranty for this price:j0
