:( Ok thanks Gueld. I'm so stupid - fell into the easy credit trap!

I guess it's my fault not HMV's so it makes sense I can't get a full refund.

So.. anyone interested in a day old PS3 250Gb slim with receipt etc from HMV, i'm looking for £250? I'm based in Bournemouth.

Cheers - and moderators I know this isn't an ads board - I'm just desperate and everyone on here has always been so helpful to me in the past.

Nps. Try Gamestation, they buy pre-owned.
  • well i've been holding my nerve waiting for the best price on a 250 blah blah ps3 for the little darlings for christmas...
however now i'm getting a little angsty as there don't seem to be any bargains around?
am i best to just buy the console on it's own, as they have lots of ps3 games already and just buy fifa10 separately?
what's the best deal out there at the moment?

    thanks in advance

Amazon are doing it for £269.99, including 2 Blu-ray movies, Blu-ray controller & HDMI cable, plus you can add FIFA10 or one of the other games from a selection for £15 - making it £284.99, which is what a lot of shops are charging for just the console and game (you can get nectar points too)

Game have some bundle deals which you can get reward points on and also cashback (I think) but their Blu-ray bundle didnt seem to come with the remote.

There are loads of different deals and it is hard to work out which one is the best - a lot depends on what you will use it for. Arogs did have a deal with three free games I think but then, if the game aren't the type you want or are likely to play, and you still have to pay for the game you actually want on top, then is it really such a bargain?

I've been doing my own calculations and the cheapest 120gb PS3 (apart from Costco) is for £230 (will have to recheck where I saw it), the cheapest Fifa 10 I can find is £30 at Shopto.net, COD MW2 is £32 (Amazon), Little Big Planet is £18 (Shopto.net) and Deadspace £12 (Amazon).

    Cheapest Bundles are PS3 120gb + Fifa10 = £250 (Gamestation).;)
    PS3 120gb + COD MW2 = £272 (Dixons/PC World)
    PS3 120gb + Little Big Planet = £250 (Game)

So it all depends on what game you want to go with it. If you know what game you want check to see if its cheaper to buy the console and game seperately.
  • thanks people...
    it's the 250gb they're after with fifa10

have been faffing about myself and found a similar deal to the amazon one with tesco, 244 includes the blu-rays, fifa10 and the blu-ray remote, just not the cable...
daft question alert...we already have a ps3 so do i need the hdmi cable?
if not might go with tesco as i can get clubcard points too

    every little helps heh
  • whoops i menat 284 not 244 sorry, wishful thinking...

Oh and Wii's are £134.99 on HMV.com atm! Includes, remote, nunchuck and wii sports.

It's not the new package though - it doesn't include Wii Sports Resort or the Motion Plus controller. These will set you back about £35 the pair which makes the deal more expensive than buying a bundle with them already in from somewhere like Toys R Us.

The best current deal comes from Play.com. Can't post a link, unfortunately, as apparently I'm a "new user".

The deal is listed on Play.com as "Nintendo Wii Console including Wii Sports + Wii Sports Resort (with Wii MotionPlus) + Wii Fit Plus (with Wii Balance Board)".

£229.99 total. There's a voucher around which gives £5 off orders over £50 at Play.com, but am not sure whether we're allowed to post voucher codes in this forum.

Should be able to find it easily enough by Googling it.

If you have issues finding the code, drop me a PM.

Same deal is £219.99 on Toys R Us - Black or White console.

Am I right that no sites now give cashback on Toys r us for games consoles?
