Cheapest place for HPI check?

Try the RAC - www.rac.co.uk. They are doing online checks for £24.99. The actual check is done via HPI anyway, but RAC are charging a lot less. Not sure if they do it by phone but when saving so much, its worth doing it online. If you have to do it over the phone, the AA are a few quid cheaper than HPI.
I do a lot of HPI checks and I havent found anything else that even comes close to this price. If you found my comment helpful, please click the 'Thanks' button below :T0 -
i read this on another forum, cannot guarantee how well it works:
Text "check xxxxx" to 88600 where xxxx is your reg number and you will get a basic hpi check for £1.50 ...then you get the option to reply to the text for a full hpi check for a further £1.50.
However, there is apparently no indemity insurance for incorrect info like there would be on a proper full price HPI check
worth a shot, i guess. apparently it's what the people who sell HPI checks for cheap on ebay do.0 -

No need to be a member. I am a member but when I did the check, it didnt ask me for any membership details. If you found my comment helpful, please click the 'Thanks' button below :T0

If you're buying from a dealer, ask to see HIS HPI report, from when HE bought the vehicle.
You'll not have any redress, should anything appear after it was created, from HPI, but you'll have an idea if there's anything untoward.
Ask your local repair garage, if they can point you in the direction of a friendly car trader, that would do it for you, as a favour & maybe a crisp £10 note!! Again you'll have no recompense from HPI if something cropped up, as they will only be liable, towards the person actually applying for the chack!!
RAC sounds best bet!!
