Should I convert Rupee's to Pounds at this moment in time?

Hi,

My mother is in India at this moment selling off some land. She will be getting 35 Lakh's (3.5 million Rupees) in the next couple of days and she would like to know what she can do with the money. She wants to bring it back to the UK, but considering the present financial climate, would this be a prudient step?

Any advice on this matter will be greatly appreciated.

Many Thanks.

I don't think you are allowed to take rupees out of India.
