I am moving to Dubai in a few weeks to work and will be putting away at least £400 a weeks to save, what would you suggest is the best thing to do with it? should i open a savings a count up in UK and transfer it to that or open one out there? what savings accounts would you recommend??

Obviously first port of call is a cash ISA. Use up your £3600 allowence.
I'm sure someone will chime in with the current best ISA on the market. If not there's some infor on the main site.
Then I guess a regular saver would suit you quite well. Some pay 10% interest and I believe there's an offshore HSBC one that pays 12%.

What are the interest rates over there and are the banks guaranteed to pay up if something does go pear shaped. Can you open an account with full use if you are not a local citizen? You would need an address there to start with.0
