    Hi dell,

That printer (as with most Brother laser printers) looks suitable for the job you want it for. I have found a link where you can purchase refill toner from - see this: http://www.refilltoner.com/MachineProducts.asp?id=TN2000&manu=Brother&mach=HL%2D2040. You will probably want to read the home page of the site as well: http://www.refilltoner.com/

    Thanks, tigermatt :)

I have a very old HP Laserjet 3P But it works fine and does exactly what i need it to(black&white prints) the quality is top notch. Im sure the Brother HL2040 being a newer model it will be fine too.
  • I've been using a brother HL2030 for 6 months now and wonder what I did before getting it.(still on the original cartridge, got a refil waiting. Don't buy new from brother, costs as much as the printer--nearly) Only problem now is the epson colour printer isn't used as much and sometimes blocks up.
I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.

I put it in my diary to give the printers a good Nozzle Check and head clean every few weeks as the nozzles do occasionally block up and can be a pain to sort out. Best to be safe than sorry! tigermatt :)
