hey guys and girls
i have never been abroad before and am taking my girlfriend away for christmas! its a bit daunting
what is the cheapest method to get from southampton to heathrow airport?
i've looked at megatrain but none of the offers coincide with our flight times
are normal train tickets the best bet?
any help appreciated!

Hi there.
I don't know if it's the cheapest option, but it's not too bad going with National Express. You can book online or at their offices (back of Asda in Southampton)
If you're early on your return from holiday and there's a coach in Central Bus Station (Heathrow) they'll often let you get on an earlier coach than the one you booked.
Oh..and check what terminal you arrive/depart from. I think for Terminal 5 you get a different coach.
Have a good time

Depends what time you have to be there, which terminal and what day you are travelling.
There might be a bus/coach service from Woking.Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0 -

Oh and it takes about 1 1/2 hours from town to Heathrow.0 -
thanks everyone, national express seems the easiest and is only a couple pounds more expensive than the train, so think i will be using that option
many thanks!0 -
Have you thought about renting a car - Hertz are about £25 each way?
