Best savings account for short-term (i.e. for 6 months)?

I'm saving to go to India and looking at putting away between £100-£200 a month until I go away in April next year. I've £250 saved already that I can use to start the account.
I don't need instant access (although it would be handy) however a month would be the maximum notice I'd want on any account I open.
I've been hunting around but nearly ever account that advertises great rates has endless conditions that means I'd either lose all/most of the interest if I withdrew before a year was out, or that the rate would drop substanstially.
Can anyone recommend a good, no nosense account with a decent (I'm not expecting spectaculor!) rate of interest that'll let me clear it out come April 2009 without penalising me.
Thanks!

Skipton Special Saver or Christmas Saver pays 6.55% if you deposit between £20 and £250 each month. Although it's a 1 year term you can close it early without penalty.0

Egg 6.55% (expect a cut in that though).
Instant (online) access too.0 -
Thanks for the suggestion but I was one of those people who - despite paying at least my minimum payment every month and often paying my balance off in full - had my credit card cancelled by Egg.
It's totally an emotional response, rather than a fiscal one, but I'm never using them again!0
