Hi,
I got a postcard that says please call 'joe bloggs' on 01......
I can see it's a local number, so I called it (from work so not directly tracable to me)
The person who answered said that she was trying to contact someone in my street and needed my help, what's my postcode...
At that point I said I'm not prepared to divulge that, she said ok, and the call ended.
But it feels a bit strange.
Has anyone else had this?
Thanks
Bob

It's a debt collector trying to track down someone they think owes money. That someone may well be you, or a neighbour. Did the card have your name on it, or just your address?"You were only supposed to blow the bl**dy doors off!!"0

did they give their company name?make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
No company name and apprently the card is in my name.
But I don't have any (unpaid) debts.
You can't read the postmark either.0 -
could you ring them with a prefix 141 to hide your identity and listen for a company name, then hang upmake the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.

Try putting the tel number into here it may well bring up the owner of the number.
