Seller requesting payment but we paid?

We bought a small item -£4 and paid within 24hrs. The seller wrote and said something a bout an ebay glitch could he have my e-mail so he could send a payment request. I wrote back so he had my email but it dragged a few days later. He wrote said he was going on hols, for 2 weeks and as we had not sent payment it would have to wait till he got back. I sent a copy of our paypal payment showing the payment unclaimed. He came back from hols seem to ignore that and once gain asked for my email, then said oh no he had it and sent a paypal payment request?

I'm really confused . I dont sell on ebay so dont understand the problem . So how do you resolve this? Do we reclaim our payment and pay again? he doesnt seem to be answering our mails?

he needs to approve the payment in his paypal account, search for help in paypal and it'll tell you how and send it in a message to him
