Has anyone had any success using this service?!!! I moved in mid August and my new phone was connected on 27th. My details still haven't been updated and now I've been sent a reminder for a bill which I know nothing about - based on the previous occupier's account. Despite spending hours on hold and speaking to about 25 people around the world Talk Talk still haven't sorted this basic admin error. I've made formal complaints and now they are completely ignoring me!!!!! Anyone got any idea how I can get this sorted!

Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0

Thought I'd made some progress on Thursday when someone in Capetown managed to fix it so I could see my account online and promised that their manager would call me back but that was clearly optimistic!!!!
I can now view the account history of the previous occupier if my house - which I'm sure breaches data protection rules!!!
There is still an incorrect charge showing based on their account details!
The order date for the move shows as 30th August - when it was the 18th!
I still haven't had a response to the letter of complaint sent on 3rd September and "Customer Services" (HA Ha!!!) still haven't made any attempt to address the issues or respond to me!
I've now spoken to about 27 people to try to sort this out and wasted about a week of my life in real terms doing this because Talk Talk can't get their act together and have a complete disregard for their customers!0 -
MKR,
It may be worth joining the TalkTalkMembers forum and highlighting your problems on here. I've a feeling it would be fixed within a few hours of posting.

If that's the case what's the point of having this on your website:
How do I make a complaint?
If you are dissatisfied with any of our products or services please contact us to allow us the opportunity to resolve your issue.
We can be reached by telephone, e-mail or post

 Unfortunately I haven't despite the last 4 weeks of hell. I transferred to TalkTalk 23rd September and had a perfect changeover (apart from Tiscali continuing to charge me for a Broadband service which is still outstanding). About a month later I found my TiVo VCR dialup modem was not connecting and I was getting a lot of Broadband dropouts. I've proved the TiVo works from any number of neighbours phones but TalkTalk will not agree there is a fault on my line. It is not possible to even pay OpenReach to check the line as they will only accept instructions from an ISP.
The attitude of Technical Support is appalling, emails to cdunstone@cpw.co.uk get flicked over to equally bad Customer Services and although at one point I got someone to agree to a local engineer visit that seems to have bitten the dust.
My attitude now is that having your line rental covered by anyone other than BT means line faults will go unresolved. Until I changed over I was an ardent supporter on Charles Dunstone and his TalkTalk approach. How wrong can one be.0
