This is a scam. I have received at least 10 of these calls.0

i dialled 1471 and theres acutally a number on there but surprise surprise when you dial it its not recognised0

Its a timeshare type scam. They can't charge you a phone call when they call you

yes I get it too altough my answer machine always takes the call. Strangely enough my answer machine won't press 9 even though the sexy female computer voice really tries her best!
Then just to rub it in even further my answer machine gives her the boot and cuts her off in her prime. Typical male huh?0 -
I just leave the receiver off the hook to hopefully run up their international phone bill. The man without a signature.0

i just wondered why they didnt speak to you directly instead of telling you to press 90 -
At least it makes it easier to hanp up the phone on an automated message (rather than a person).
If you do press '9' that would guarantee you would receive further calls as it would show potential interest!
You may well get a free or cheap holiday but you would be subject to high pressure sales of a Timeshare! So, best avoided!0 -
Yes, I've had these calls in the past and never pressed 9. Possibly when 9 is pressed there will be a premium rate number supplied to call and claim your "holiday".
Totally agree, it's a con/scam. It's usually a woman with a U.S. accent.0 -
I think everyone I know is getting these at the moment. One has the loud sound of a ships horn, then it tells you you have won a caribbean cruise.0
