I pay and then stand at end of checkout and check my receipt every time now.
Never had any gift card for their error though.......0 -
Argos charged me twice and i got charged £35 by my bank for going over my overdraft! Who do i ask for the money back- arg0s or my bank? I only bought a blo*dy toilet seat for £9.99 and it's ended up costing £45! not exactly worth it!0

Laura, when BT wrongly took £85 out of my account and took me overdrawn, I complained to them and got them to pay the £35 charges back. But it might be worth just asking your bank, probably easier. Took me months to get that off BT. Think happy & you'll be happy
I :heart2: my doggies

Rang Argos and they were very apologetic and gave me an address to write to:
Customer Relations, Argos Direct.
Acton Gate
Stafford
ST18 9AR
Apparently just need to send a copy of bank charges letter and send it to them and they will sort it out. Not too sure about sending bank details in the post though....0 -
We bought a DVD in Tesco priced at £7.00. When I checked the receipt, I found it had scanned at £13.98. We went to customer services and they immediately refunded double the amount overcharged, i.e. £13.96, so the DVD actually cost us 2p! Result!:T0

I was checking my credit card statement online and noticed 2 identical amounts. I started to wonder what I had bought then scrolled down the page and notice that Argo had refunded one amount already without having to get in touch with them.0

My wife was charged twice the same day. She felt sorry for the woman in front, who bought a cooker at over £400 with her card.
Apparently it affected around 190,000 people that day and I just wondered what happened to the interest that they accumulated with the money in their bank account over the weekend. Even at an average spend of £40 per transaction, it equates to £7.6 million in their account over the weekend. I didn't see any mention of this and if they did make any money in interest from our money, they should come clean and at least give it to charity.0 -

martin this is one for you to check out, because even when you complain and get your money back the next day the same thing can still happen as no one chnges the price on the system. so how much extra profit are they making from this!!!strangely none of this seems to happen in the foreign stores ...aldi, netto, lidel0
