I have just had this installed and have noticed it has a usb port, can I plug my external hard drive into this to enable me to watch the movies I have on my hard drive? Or does anyone know what it is for?
Also, the volume doesnt work on my remote and the codes they have given me for an LG tv dont work either.
Anybody got any viws on how good it is compared to other providers?I just got to sick of Virgins prices getting higher and higher and broadband going slower and slower that I switched.
Thanks

Hi Minxtress,
I too have BT Vision and I am pretty sure the USB port is not enabled for anything at the moment.
There have been various suggestions over at the BT help forums suggesting BT allow connection of external hard drives / memory sticks to view movies / look at pics / listen to music etc, but so far nothing has happened.
I have got my Samsung TV to work with the remote control, it's a bit trial and error though as they give quite a few codes to try per manufacturer. (Don't forget you have to put a zero before each 3 digit code to make a 4 digit code).
Have you used the codes from here:
http://bt.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/bt.cfg/php/enduser/cci/bt_adp.php?p_sid=T7nLuG9j&cat_lvl1=348&cat_lvl2=1154&p_cv=2.1154&p_cats=348,1154&p_faqid=9579
(as the above is so long, you will probably have to copy and paste into your browser address bar).
Also, this site is quite handy for general info:

Hope this helps!0 -
Hi I have tried all the codes now and none work, looks like having two remotes is my only option.
Thanks for your help though those sites are interesting0
