if you direct debit and having problams canceling with them, getting hold of them then cancel the dirct debit they will soon be able to contact you
They will still try and come after you (via debt collectors) if you don't go through their cancellation process.
I did go through the proper cancellation process which effectively required 90 days notice and they took money out of my account after it had been cancelled. When I called to complain they said yes, they'd made a mistake but they'd only consider giving me a refund if i sent in a copy of my bank statement and a letter of complaint.
To give you an idea of how long the cancellation takes, I first called to cancel at the end of May and the cancellation actually only took effect two weeks ago.0 -
Blimey, that's shocking.
Interesting to see how they fare when they allow cancellations via the net (or email). I wonder if the likes of Sky and ISPs would ever offer that!!0
