Freeview is free for 3 months but there is also a £14.99 connection fee.

All that said, still good value if you want to see the fight, plus all the rest of the sport over the next few months

The cancellations are better than they used to be. I read an interview with one of the Setanta bosses recently and he said they were going to offer an online option.

Worse case, if you set up a Direct Debit and want to cancel, cancel the DD if you have any bother with them.

DON'T DO IT!!! The worst company ever, and you will have no end of trouble trying to cancel..
They are still trying to get me to pay for it now after i cancelled it 5 months ago! and the channel to be frank is S***..
And Don't forget the set up fee!! and you have to cancel 60 day's in advance now!
And to really top it off, you have to WRITE!!! via letter, I thought this was the 21st century?!! to cancel.. and they will deny all knowledge of ever getting it and charge you another months payment!!!
    *Don't let the b******s get you down ;) *

Anyone still considering this offer, despite the warnings should first take a look at this thread on problems with setanta ( It has been going over a year now!)

I cancled my Satanta as there was little on it to watch and weak picture on sky, always the first to go in bad weather! Having read allthe hassle to cancel I have sentthem aspecial delivery letter stating the dates that I understand the contract will be terminated, and their last payment. When the date for my last payment has passed I'll cancel my credit card (say I lost it to the card co) to prevent them taking any further payment. Loads of hassle asadvised don't join!
  • Cancelling a credit card doesn't necessarily cancel any standing payments that you have set up against that card - which is why it is generally recommended to use Direct Debit instead of Continuous Credit Card Authority.
Thanks to all who post constructively.
