apart from the odd scrutiniser, might try it with them. There's deffo some discretion allowed in giving the gwps as I discovered today so they might look kindly on a familiar face asking. They all joke with me about how i seem to find all the bargains. ;)

Think i know who you mean lol,
i tend to got to the same girl, she never asks any questions and just tries to scan anything i give her:D

BTVB - I love all the bright colours, but my faves are the brightest silver dazzle dust (which goes on like chrome *swoon*) and the brightest turquoise green. They do a glitter dust which is white but has a pale green/purpley glitter in it - it looks divine over ANY of the colours! Sorry, not sure on the numbers of them as most of mine have rubbed off! xx

I personally would not fret as it is PC vouchers they are focused on and multiple PC applications. However....never say never so I suppose if you had ALOT of points you should be careful.

From what I understand if you use a few they will not stop your AC as they lose too much money. But if you have 17 babies or have used a dozen olay vouchers they will look into it etc

    Oh hell I'm done for!!!!!

Does anyone know if there's an Estee Lauder GWP any time soon? Next Gift-Time isn't until March (afaik) and I don't want the £45 set they have on offer with fragrance at the moment. I want some Sensuous as I've decided I really like it and have finished the sample I had! (may have to beg it for a Christmas present, but I NEED a GWP with it!)

Have you seen the Sensuous To Go gift set on .com? It looks lovely with a handy handbag size perfume too

  • BTVB I brought a colour in dazzle dust called kingfisher (78) and I love it, it is a bluey green colour. I love khaki (14) too but tend to use this damp as an eyeliner.

The glitter dust is 'fine glitter dust' you know how you can use dazzle dust damp to get a different effect well the glitter dust does not apply damp as well as the dazzle dust if you know what I mean. They are very glittery I have number 5 which is blue.

  • My 2 grand-daughters, who are cousins (aged 8 and 9) have both emptied their piggy banks, and asked me to get something nice for their Mummies for Christmas.

One of them said I could get anything, "as long as it's pink", and the other said "Mummy really likes that bath stuff in an orange bag called Mandy something".

Does this ring a bell with anyone, and do you know if Boots stock Mandy Something?

Any clues would be gratefully accepted!

    Evening all,

Apologies in advance if this is the wrong place to post this.... however, with recent talk of people having more excess stash than you can shake a stick at, I thought that the :xmassmile Elf Christmas scheme :xmassmile from postpals may be of interest.

Postpals was first mentioned on the Bootsing board a few months ago. It is a UK charity that aims to put smiles on the faces of very poorly children, by getting members of the public to send them cards, letters, and little gifts through the post.

For Christmas, they are looking for elves who will be assigned a child. You can then read that child's page and found out a bit about their hobbies and interests, as well as finding out about what illness they are suffering from and how their treatment is going. You have a budget of £15 to spend on goodies for your assigned child- this quickly adds up when you consider the RRP of most of the makeup/ toiletries etc you may have going spare. You then post this off to the child in time for Christmas.

Anyways just thought there may be a few Bootsers who have some spare goodies they may like to send to one of these children. Full details are here: http://www.postpals.co.uk/news.php

May also be useful for anyone who still has pinkies coming out of their ears and is sick of the sight of them lol- perhaps they could be put towards some nice bits and bobs for one of these children.
Postpals are also running a :rudolf:Reindeer scheme:rudolf:- if you volunteer to be a reindeer, you get assigned a young child and need to send them 9 cards during December- one from each reindeer, giving them updates about how the elves are doing and what Father Christmas is getting up to :santa2:. This sounds soooo bless! :snow_grin

Anyways, apologies as off topic :o just thought some of you Bootsers might be able to make a little bit of space in your cupboards/drawers/wardrobes/underbed storage boxes/loft/other hidey holes :p and put a smile on a child's face at the same time!
Thanks for reading this guys :xmassign:

if anybody is visiting the trafford centre branch either tomorrow or saturday morning can you let me know on here whether there are any no7 star highlighter thingies left - i'm going saturday afternoon just for this and don't want to waste a journey. And, you know, if you find one, and fancy hiding it somewhere for me, i'd be ever so grateful lol xx

    Lol @ hiding it :D

I give places a call first if i'm going specifically for one item. Ask to be put through to No7 beauty and then ask if they have stock of the highligher. They should hopefully be ok in putting it aside for you too :)

Their number can be found on the store checker online. I do know though they definately had none in yesterday or today. Will let you know asap if i clock them hun

    xx
