After trying the 0870 and 0800 numbers for Monument and being given the 'enter your card number' spiel and not being able to get through, I went through the FSA register and finally managed to get a way to get through to their customer services department.
To get through, you have to ring Compucredit reception (they're the people who deal with Monument cards) and they will put you through to customer services. To get through to Compucredit, just ring 01293 802322.
I spoke to Monument customer services a few minutes ago and the lady I spoke to said that there had been a problem with their card issuer for new customers that had now been resolved and that cards would be issued by the end of the week and would be with all new customers within 7-10 working days and if they hadn't arrived in two weeks, to call them again on the above number.
Hope that helps someone!
