Tuesday 4/11/08 What small dfw things have you done today???

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free.
Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.
Today I will:
.
Really looking forward to these few days break as we had to cancel our real holiday when my brother died.
Feeling very sparkly today:j

Today I will:
- check online banking
- make up box with few essentials to take on holiday so won't have to pop to shop as soon as we land.
- make flask of coffee for trip
- remember to pack the wine and chocolate:D
- have last minute peek at mse - no internet for 3 days:eek: :eek:

Good morning Sophiesmum and all that follow!
Sophiesmum - hope you have a lovely trip!
Not a NSD day for me unfortunately as need new boots :sad: which really can't afford but needs must. Also need calpol for poorly boy. He has a nasty cough.
So here are my efforts for today
* Checked on-line banking
* Look for cheapest pair of boots I can find
* Make some cakes
* Enter competitions
* Ebay three items
* Heating on as boy poorly but will try and keep it low
* Gloomy day but try not to put lights on
Will have to try and think of some more as that seems a paltry list!
:grouphug: to any of you that still feel poorly today
Miss P

Good morning you early peeps!
Sophiesmum - enjoy your break, bring us back some virtual Kendal cake
Miss Piggy - do hope your lad feels better soon
mbaz - mince pies already, very impressive
I have realised that I haven't done my budgets for a five week month:eek: I paid off the car repairs and the saddle and knew I'd left myself tight.....I'm really cross with myself for being so stupid:mad: I can easily get by on the food front from the cupboards, not so sure about petrol and horse livery. In actual fact the livery can wait, the yard owner won't mind, but it's not the point...
....and I didn't do all my list yesterday...- still need to list on ebay
- still need to put books on amazon
- still need to find a matched bet
- still need to pay cheque in (5.33, don't get excited, it won't sort out the 5 week month!)
- forgot to set off loaf in bm
- will check banking and spreadsheets - not that it means anything :rolleyes:
- bought in breakfast and lunch
- tidied and wiped down kitchen
- made bed
- come to work
- do a 30 wash
