Help - Where are images previously viewd on a browser?

Is it possible to retrieve images (my own!) previously viewed on a browser from my PC?
I know that anything showing on my screen is actually stored somewhere but can some good people here tell me an easy way to get to that data before is too late?

I use both IE and FF

Thanks!

Eek..here goes..if I get this wrong, hopefully a real techie person will come along and put it right. :D
In the top right of your screen should be a little cogwheel glyph and the word `tools` next to it.
If you click on that it opens a drop down menu.
Go down to Toolbars and that will open up another menu. Click on History and that should give you a box that might say Today and also may have yesterday on it. (depends when you last emptied cookies I think though :))
If you click on that it will open up all the things you looked at, scroll through to click and retrieve what you want.
Hope that helps, if I got it wrong, many apologies.

Load up Internet Explorer. In the top right of the IE window you will see the Tools button - click that. Now choose Internet Options at the bottom.

A window opens, showing you IE settings. Under the General tab, click a button called Settings in the Browsing history section. Another window opens.

All you need to do now is click View files and find what you wanted.
Everybody is equal; However some are more equal than others.
  • Thanks basmic, I can see some files but they are not the ones I needed!
They all seem to be quite small banners etc but I was hoping to find my photos that I was browsing off a website that went down. Any help?

Icewytch - thanks for the tip, but the history gives the urls previously visited and not access to the files themselves.
