I have a big dilemma that needs all professional opinion. Here is my situation.
My loving brother passed away at the age of 31 and left his only daughter $200,000 in an account with Zecco. I handle all his personal finances and was told that money was not to be touch or transfer. No one not even his wife was to have access to the funds. The money is set to earn interest and ready for her when she turns 18 years of age. She is only 3 at the moment. 4 month to today after the funeral, I’ve discover my sister in law had went to court and had control over the account. Fortunately, we had a very long argument and agree we would put into an account to make sure my niece would get what his father left for her. We agree on an account in which would gain interested and most importantly, a read only access by both the mother and myself. This mean no transfers, no withdrawals, no cancellations, no court order, ONLY a read only access to view the funds grow. AND the only one who have access is my niece when she turns 18 yrs of age..
My question to you all;
Is there such thing as this type of account?
How much is it to open?
Any maintenance fees?
What’s the safest company to open this type of account?
Any feedback or advise would be greatly appreciated. This means so much to me if anyone can help. Knowing that my sister in law would agree with me I would like to get this started ASAP before she changes her mind. Thank you for your time.

Sorry this is a UK based site. Difficult for us to comment on accounts in the US.In case you hadn't already worked it out - the entire global financial system is predicated on the assumption that you're an idiot:cool:0

I'm sure it is possible. In the UK you would be putting a savings account "in trust" for the child until they reach 18, but as Jonbvn says you really need to ask this question on a U.S. site.0

Tyes, try fool.com - it's a US based financial site.0
