Has anyone applied for an IF card lately, just wondered if they still only use equifax or now use experian (as they are part of the Halifax)
Any info would be great
Thanks

Hi,
This table should be of use

IF searched Experian only for me earlier this year, although they may now have changed - I'm not sure when the table referenced above was last updated.
BTW, are you aware that this is not a 0% card? It's been 8.9% APR (typical) for a while now.

Speaking of that table.....I want to buy a car through Sainsburys Bank and they told me they mainly use Experian and occasionally Equifax. So is the table correct?0

However the table says that both Sainsburys and IF only use Equifax, which would suggest the table may be wrong.0 -
Hi folks
Here is the original discussion on the Credit Reference Table.. Martins comment in post 2 will probably be of interest to a few of you.

As he says, if you have any challenges to these, we'll put them to the relevant people (when everything else dies down in MoneySaving Towers). But the results published are based on the exact information given out directly from the lenders.

I just called IF and they said they use Experian and Equifax, saying that Experian was the bigger and more widely used of the two.
The AA said the same when I called them yesterday.0 -
Cheers Boss, we'll put this to them and let you know the answer they give.Former MSE team member0
